Florianópolis is once again part of Manu Chao's international tour with a confirmed performance on January 28th. tropical path, in Barra da Lagoa. One of the most emblematic names in contemporary music, the artist is known for uniting global sounds, social discourse, and a trajectory marked by the movement between cultures, languages, and territories.

Born in Paris to Spanish parents exiled during the Francoist dictatorship, Manu Chao rose to prominence in the 1990s as the frontman of the band Mano Negra, a benchmark in the fusion of punk, Latin rock, and reggae. In his solo career, he has consolidated an itinerant body of work, with a raw and direct aesthetic, addressing themes such as migration, borders, urban life, and social resistance.

The show in Floripa is part of the artist's current phase, marked by the release of the album. Long Live You (2024), his first album of new material in 17 years, and the EP The Color of Time (2025). The repertoire connects recent songs to songs that marked their international career, maintaining a direct relationship with the public and with popular cultural manifestations.
