Paper spaceship: band from Palhoça joins Rio do Sul's Christmas program.

The show will be on Sunday (21), in one of the city's most traditional squares.

In the Christmas spirit, the municipality of Rio do Sul is holding a special program this end of year. One of the confirmed attractions is the Palhocense band Astronave de Papel, which promises to bring joy to adults and children on the stage at Praça Ermembergo Pellizzetti. The show will be in the late afternoon of this Sunday (21).

The band from Palhoça brings with them a repertoire that matches the Christmas atmosphere: with lessons about friendship, empathy, and a playful universe starring the characters from Turma do Júnior.

With colorful visuals and music that blends rhythms and meanings, Astronave de Papel presents compositions full of imagination, affection, and learning. The show promises to be a spectacle that mixes music, theater, characters, and educational stories.

The presentation is part of the diverse program that has been enlivening Rio do Sul during this Christmas season. The city's stores have been operating on special hours since December 6th, according to the schedule released by the Chamber of Store Managers (CDL). The activities began on the 12th and will continue until next Tuesday (23).

The Secretary of Economic Development of Rio do Sul, Giovane Honorato de Carvalho, reinforces the importance of the attractions. “The cultural performances and Christmas decorations transform the city, generating enchantment and movement in the streets and local businesses. Each light lit, each beautifully decorated shop window, and each performance on stage tells the story of Rio do Sul, welcomes residents and visitors, and helps to build a more prosperous end of the year for everyone,” he stated.

The closing of this program will be on Tuesday (23), on the stage at Praça Ermembergo Pellizzetti, in partnership with Mirador radio. The main attraction of the evening will be the duo Diego & Danimar, accompanied by Grupo Karisma. On the same night, the winners of the Christmas decoration contest will be announced, which will award residences and establishments with exemption from IPTU 2026.

About the band from Palhoça

Founded in Palhoça, the band Astronave de Papel was born from a series of encounters between musicians who share the same love for art and education. From Palhoça to the world, the group is formed by artists who, in addition to performing in the music scene, also develop training and social awareness projects.

The group consists of Marcos MarFlui, composer, vocalist and creator of Turma do Júnior; Luiz Maffei, composer, bassist and music producer; Greg MarFlui, guitarist and backing vocalist; Zé Martins, guitarist and backing vocalist; Bira Blues, harmonica player and backing vocalist; Henrique Heskova, guitarist and backing vocalist; and André Geléia, drummer.

With lyrics full of affection, arrangements that blend rock, reggae, forró and Brazilian rhythms, and a concept that unites art and purpose, Astronave de Papel has been winning over not only children, but entire families.

Junior's Class

The Paper Spaceship is one of the many creations that originated within Turma do Júnior, an initiative created by Marcos MarFlui more than ten years ago, which produces multimedia content, educational campaigns, music, and videos aimed at children and families.

The Junior Gang's mission is to educate in a playful and musical way, transforming everyday values and care into stories that teach and move audiences. Among their standout projects is Check My Baby, which raises awareness about preventing domestic accidents and caring for young children.

Over the years, the group has expanded, becoming a platform for educational communication and entertainment, bringing together musicians, teachers, artists, and producers. Turma do Júnior is an ecosystem of ideas. It has already become a book, a series, a song, an event, and now it has given rise to a band. Everything we do is part of the same essence: promoting joy and awareness through art.

The group features characters that illustrate educational materials from the Cultivar Program and other educational initiatives developed by Guarani Sport. These are projects created in Palhoça that have now spread to different cities in Brazil and around the world.
