According to the survey, the profile of the bettor is predominantly male, representing 59% of users, while women account for 41%. The predominant age group is between 25 and 40 years old, concentrating 42,1% of participants. In socioeconomic terms, there is a greater presence in classes C1 and B1, which together correspond to 47% of online bettors.

Education levels also indicate a population with intermediate to higher education: 31% have completed high school and 28% have completed higher education. In the job market, 46% are formally employed, while there is a smaller presence of informal workers, self-employed individuals, and students.

In terms of betting behavior, most people gamble occasionally or monthly, with an average ticket size of R$ 61,52 and a predominance of deposits below R$ 100. The main motivation is entertainment, cited by 72% of respondents, followed by the attempt to supplement income, mentioned by 38%.

Loyalty to platforms also emerges as a relevant characteristic: 68% of users rarely or only occasionally switch operators. The discovery of new sites occurs mainly through online ads (29%), personal recommendations (28%), and social networks (24%). Among the factors influencing choice, trust (61%) and recommendations (41%) are the most prominent. The most valued aspects include speed of payments (52%), bonuses (49%), and customer support (45%).

Most popular games and categories

In online casinos, KTO data shows a predominance of slot games, responsible for 93,35% of the rounds played in 2025. Crash games follow, with 4,64%, while categories such as roulette (0,81%) and blackjack (0,06%) have a smaller share.

Among the most popular titles, games like Fortune Tiger (39,29%) and Fortune Rabbit (33,70%) lead in engagement. In the live casino segment, roulette attracts the most interest, with 48,73% popularity, followed by game shows (25,18%) and dice games (10,63%).

In the sports segment, football dominates the betting volume. According to KTO data, this sport accounts for 87,89% of bets and 64,15% of active users. Basketball (4,62%) and tennis (4,54%) follow.

Among the championships, the Brasileirão leads with 9,65% of bets, followed by the Premier League (5,22%) and La Liga (4,17%). Competitions such as Libertadores and Champions League also appear among the most relevant for the Brazilian public.

The most commonly used markets include final result (40,01%), total goals (11,40%) and both teams to score (4,39%), indicating a preference for more straightforward and easy-to-understand bets.

Official betting market data

Information from the Ministry of Finance shows the size of the sector in the country. In 2025, approximately 25,2 million Brazilians placed some type of bet on authorized platforms. During the same period, the sector registered... gross revenue of approximately R$37 billion.

Companies collected approximately R$ 9,95 billion in taxes, in addition to amounts related to grants and inspection fees.
