If the streets of Paris could sing, they would have the voice of Édith Piaf. It is under this mystique that singer Edith Gondin presents the show "Edith on the Trail of Piaf," on April 25th at 21:30 PM at Delfino 146. Much more than a tribute, the show is an artistic investigation into how the "Little Sparrow" paved the way for generations of musicians, transforming French song into a world heritage. For approximately two hours, Edith Gondin – accompanied by Juninho Uhlig (piano), Marcio Millani (bass), and Cristiano Forte (drums) – weaves together music and history. The repertoire reveals curiosities about Piaf's life through her songs and the works of great partners and friends, such as Charles Aznavour, Henri Betti, Michel Emer, and Charles Trenet.
The musical journey doesn't stop in the past. Edith Gondin brings the essence of "La Môme" – Édith Piaf's nickname – into the present day, also performing hits by artists such as Zaz, Carla Bruni, Désireless, and Johnny Hallyday. The show is another production of Edith Gondin's Rendez Vous - A Festa project, aimed at promoting French culture, which since 2022 has sought to deepen knowledge and understanding of this musical universe in Santa Catarina.
In this quartet formation (vocals, bass, drums, and piano), the audience is invited to an immersive experience, where the dramatic interpretation and sophisticated arrangements bring the center of Florianópolis closer to the charming Parisian cafes.
