Animation about missing Brazilian pianist has exclusive premiere at Paradigma Cine Arte

The animation about the story of Brazilian pianist Francisco Tenório Júnior, 'They Shot the Pianist', directed by Fernando Trueba with drawings by Javier Mariscal, is an exclusive premiere at Paradigma Cine Arte this week. The program is available from October 26th to November 1st, in the 16:10 pm session. 

The narrative follows the disappearance of the young Brazilian samba-jazz pianist, during a tour by Vinicius de Moraes and Toquinho, days before the military coup in Argentina on March 24, 1976. Jeff Harris, music journalist who is preparing a book about bossa new, seeks to discover the truth about the disappearance of Francisco Tenório Júnior.

The film includes testimonies from Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil, Paulo Donato and the ex-wives of Vinícius de Moraes and Tenório Jr.

Other productions are also on display, such as 'Meu nome é Gal', by Dandara Ferreira and Lô Politi, in the 14pm session, 'Os Delinquentes', directed by Rodrigo Moreno, in the 18:20pm session, and 'The Assassin', directed by by David Fincher, in the 21:50 pm session.
