The 28th edition of the Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul International Film Festival – FAM 2024 will take place from September 5th to 11th. In total, 66 works will be exhibited, from 15 countries. The program includes a tribute to its creator, Antonio Celso dos Santos, the 8th Mercosul Coproduction Meeting - ECM+LAB, Forum, Rally Panvision Project, workshops and debates at Conversas FAM de Cinema, totaling more than 70 activities. The films will be shown at CineShow Beiramar Shopping. As for other activities at the Majestic Palace Hotel.

In this edition, 47 films were selected for the Competitive Shows and 14 invited productions, in addition to five short films that will be produced during the Festival, in the Panvision Rally Project. For the first time, at the end of the 18:30 pm and 20:30 pm sessions there will be a space for questions and answers between the directors and the audience. 

FAM 2024 is a cultural project produced through the culture incentive law and through the Culture Incentive Program - PIC, of ​​the Government of the State of Santa Catarina approved by the Catarinense Culture Foundation. It has the support of the Cultural Foundation of Florianópolis Franklin Cascaes through the Audiovisual Promotion Program, 2023 notice and the Catarinense Cinema Award, special edition Lei Paulo Gustavo, Fundação Catarinense de Cultura, State of Santa Catarina.
