Florianópolis will host the FAM Film Circuit in November.

With two free movie screenings, the FAM Film Circuit, Santa Catarina Edition arrives at November to Florianópolis. On the days 6 and 7, the capital of Santa Catarina exhibits in Center for Teaching and Research in Portuguese as a Foreign Language (NUPLE) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina – UFSC, award-winning films at the 28th edition of the International Film Festival Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosur – FAM, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. The selection includes works aimed at children, the whole family, young people, adults, students and, above all, film fans.

In 2025, the FAM Circuit will reach all regions of Santa Catarina, and Florianópolis is one of the three cities in the metropolitan area that will host the Traveling Exhibition, along with Palhoça and São José. On Thursday, the 6th, at 13:30 pm, the program in the municipality begins with the program Stories Around UsThe selection includes documentaries, short fiction films, and an animation that primarily portray characters and their memories, routines, and personal challenges experienced daily.

On Friday the 7th, at 19 pm, it's the turn of the program Movie versions. Rated for audiences 16 and older, the session features five films, including music videos and short fiction and animation films, exploring rhythms, artistic expressions, history, identity, and voice.

Considered the oldest film festival in the state, FAM has been holding its Traveling Showcase since 2005. Two decades later, it continues to strengthen Latin American cinematography through decentralization and democratization of access to productions. This year, more than 30 film screenings have already taken place in the Special Brazil Edition, which has visited Rio Grande do Norte, Amazonas, and Mato Grosso. In total, in Santa Catarina, 15 films will be shown in 17 cultural venues, with a full program from November 6th to 12th.

The FAM SC Film Circuit is a project implemented by the Government of the State of Santa Catarina, through the Santa Catarina Cultural Foundation (FCC), with resources from the Federal Government, within the scope of the Aldir Blanc National Policy.
