"Lupicínio Rodrigues: Confessions of a Sufferer", a documentary in which Alfredo Manevy makes his directorial debut, already has a date to reach the public in Florianópolis: May 02, at Paradigma Cine Arte. The premiere is scheduled to start at 19:30 pm and, right after the screening of the film, there will be a debate with the director and the finishing coordinator, Nara Hailer. Celebrating the poetic legacy of the singer and composer, the film explores the musical contribution and historical context of the renowned musician and author of hits that enchant generations. The work, awarded Best Edition and Best Soundtrack at the 17th edition of Fest Aruanda 2022, received an Honorable Mention for its narrative strength in rescuing and highlighting the importance of one of the greatest composers of Brazilian popular music and for the richness of his research.
Produced by Plural Filmes in partnership with Canal Curta, the documentary preserves his musical legacy, highlighting his artistic contribution and the historical and social context. Lupicínio Rodrigues' successful songs were performed by some of the biggest names in Brazilian Popular Music.
