O Cineclub of the Children's Film Festival takes place every Saturday at 16pm at Film Gilberto Gerlach, at Integrated Culture Center (CIC). The sessions are free of charge and are on a first-come, first-served basis (limited to the venue's capacity of 137 seats). The initiative is supported by the Museum of Image and Sound of Santa Catarina (MIS/SC) and the Santa Catarina Culture Foundation (FCC).
June 21st - Short film session of the Mostra, with screening of the films:
Watercolor (by Elisa Guimarães, MG, animation, 2022, 3 min): “Aquarelado”, directed by Elisa Guimarães and produced by Espacial Filmes, is part of the Clipes Aquarelados Project, by Grupo Maria Cutia de Teatro. The music video plays with the aesthetics of watercolor by bringing the children's universe from the perspective of a child playing, drawing and mixing paints.
Taina and the Rain (by Luisa MH Copetti, RJ, animation, 2021, 6 min): Already famous in the TV series, the indigenous girl Tainá, the king vulture Pepe, the monkey Catu and the hedgehog Suri are the Guardians of the Amazon. They take care of the animals and protect the forest, but today it is raining and everyone is sheltered. Each one tells their stories about the rain, whether about their fears, its origin or its consequences.
The Neighbor's Son (by Alex Vidigal, fiction, DF, 2011, 7min30): From the window of his room, Ronaldinho watches in wonder the adventures and mishaps of a boy who is called by many names by the neighborhood. Of the many names, Ronaldinho calls him the Neighbor's Son.
Mytikah: The Book of Heroes – Ep. 07 Machado de Assis (by Hygor Amorim and Jonas Brandão, SP, animation, 2019, 7 min): Leco can't sleep, and Mytikah appears to tell the story of Machado de Assis. The children meet the writer when he is still young and get to know his characters. More
Later they help Machado create a new story!
Bunnies and Opossums (by Thomas Larson, SP, animation, 2022, 10 min): From the older brother's point of view, the story has as its backdrop the father's second marriage and the formation of a new family with the stepmother and her baby daughter. The coexistence and conflicts of the family relationship focus mainly on the relationship between children and electronic devices, mainly because the older brother mixes concrete reality with the fantasy of game environments.
The little blue balloon (by Fáuston Silva, fiction, DF, 2013, 18min30): Film inspired by “Le Ballon Rouge (1956) by Albert Lamorisse.” It tells the story of a little girl who comes from the countryside to live with her aunt, but never receives affection and ends up becoming the house servant. She lives sadly until her encounter with a simple blue balloon turns into a magical friendship.
