Hugo the monster
(by Humberto Avelar, RJ, animation, 2014, 4 min): Hugo is a monster who lives under a bed and has a problem. He doesn't scare anyone. In fact, he is afraid of an unknown, bigger and scarier creature that lives above his bed. Will Hugo be able to face his fears? And, after all, who is this terrible monster?

Dial Quilombola (by David Reeks, SP, fiction, 2012, 13 min): Children from Espírito Santo talk in a fun way about what life is like in a quilombola community and on a hill in the city of Vitória. Through a genuine children's game, it is revealed that childhood has more similarities than differences.

the piano (by Marcelo Bala and Andrea Pesek, SP, animation, 2014, 3 min): A boy carries a piano in his pocket. It shows the artist as someone who reveals the beauty hidden in cracks, in remote corners, in nature, and who catalyzes all of this in the form of music.

John the Unregulated Rooster (by Camila Carrossine and Alê Camargo, SP, animation, 2013, 10 min): A humorous story about a rooster who crowed whenever he wanted. Based on real facts.

Car Counters (by Guto Pasko, PR, fiction, 2011, 11 min): Three brothers live in a difficult-to-reach village in a corner of the interior of Paraná. Their only hobby is counting the cars that pass through the town. But when the school holidays arrive and they are taken to help with the harvest on an uncle's farm, which makes them bored, as there are no cars there to count, they have a plan.

My name is Maalum (by Luísa Copetti, RJ, animation, 2021, 8 min): Maalum is a black Brazilian girl who is born and grows up in a home surrounded by love and Afro-centered references. As soon as she leaves her home, she is faced with the challenges posed by the discourses and practices of a racist society. As soon as she arrives at school, everyone laughs at her. Maalum doesn't understand why and, with the help of her family, she will discover the meaning of her name and transform her sadness into pride for her ancestry.
