With the aim of discussing modernism in the visual arts in Santa Catarina based on archival research, the BADESC Cultural Foundation is promoting the workshop “Other modernisms: Santa Catarina in the visual arts”, with professor Daiana Schvartz. Free registration opens on the 13th and runs until September 26th.
The meeting, which will take place on October 5, aims to discuss the modern scenario in the state between the 1920s and 1970s, based on archival research. “In conjunction with the national debate, we will present an overview of events by mapping: cultural agents, artists, exhibitions, public and private institutions, public reception, criticism, bibliographic production and other initiatives that fostered the production of modern art,” highlights the professor.
Daiana also emphasizes that the production of art research in Santa Catarina will be discussed. The meeting, which will be divided into two parts, has a workload of 4 hours.
Registrations can be made using the form available on the Foundation's website or accessed through the link available in the @fundacaobadesc bio.
