For a long time, Brazil was the last stop before the end of the world surfing season, in the Hawaiian Triple Crown. The stages promoted here were decisive and extremely important for the countrymen to be able to confirm their classifications for the world's elite of the sport. In the years 2012/2013, no stage was held here, however Florianópolis, and specifically Praia da Joaquina, will be the first city of three where the competition will pass. In the state, the ASP 5-Star Santa Catarina will award a total of 170 thousand dollars, with 135 thousand and 3.500 points in the ASP 6-star Men and another 35 thousand dollars and 2.000 points in the ASP 5-Star Women.
