On Saturday (7) and Sunday (8), Florianópolis hosts the 3rd South American Wheelchair Sports Games, official event of Skate Brazil Confederation, with the endorsement of the South American Skating Confederation and recognition of WORLD SKATE, an entity linked to the International Olympic Committee.

With a focus on emerging urban sports, the event highlights Roller Freestyle (street skating) and Scooter Freestyle, which combine technique, creativity and adrenaline in radical maneuvers. Brazilian athlete Nicolly Machado, medalist at the 2024 World Skate Championship, is one of the big names in the competition.
