The commemorative edition of the 10th anniversary of the Floripa Tap – International Tap Dance Festival continues until Tuesday (2), with 100% free performances on a stage set up in the Boulevard 14/32 from Floripa Airport.
This edition commemorating the 10th anniversary of Floripa Tap brings to Santa Catarina some of the main names in world and Brazilian tap dancing, including Maud Arnold, who has been a dance stunt double for Beyoncé, Daniel Borak, from Stylize, Star Dixon, from MADD Rhythms, in addition to the Brazilians Patrícia Taranto, Fernando Flesch, Bia Mattar, Stella Antunes, Nelson Moura, Christiane Matallo, Valéria Pinheiro, Marina Coura and Ana Gori. Also included are the 13 teachers, guests of the event, Diego Tavares, with a focus on ballroom dancing and urban dances; Daniela Alves of classical ballet and contemporary dance; Vivian Shimizu of urban dance and tap dancing; André FM with percussion and rhythms and Leandro Fortes with jazz.

And the Exhibition Promotion of Incentive to Creation, a novelty this year, with the participation of three projects that were selected via public notice, curated by Floripa Tap – The carioca “Trash”, from Cia Motirô, the São Paulo/Mineiro “Tap – a História, by Black's on Tap”, and the São Paulo show “Entre Elas”, by Sonart. They will take to the platform important social debates such as racism and black culture, female empowerment and sustainability.
Music and dancing will be the attractions on 31/10, starting at 18:30 pm, a wonderful sequence of performances on the stage at Floripa Airport. Leandro Fortes Jazz Trio - great reference in jazz from Santa Catarina, leads the first performance, followed by a show with singer Ana Rosa and Chico Martins, a member of Dazaranha (19:30 pm), a duel between tap dancers and a Jam Session with Leandro Fortes and Trio. On 31/10, at 12:30 pm, there will be a Jam Session at Espaço Floripa Tap at Hotel SESC Cacupé, with free admission.
On 01/11, at 19:30 pm, at Floripa Airport, there will be a screening followed by a debate on the Documentary: “Corpo:Substantivo Coletivo”, by Sofia Dietmann, in addition to the Commented Dance Show, with groups from different places in Brazil ( 20:30h).
The show “If not now, when?”, by Cia. Trupe Toe, which is also directed by Marina Coura, opens on 02/11 at 18pm. It emphasizes the search for equality of genders, ethnicities and races, bringing to the fore the discussion about social justice.
Afterwards, there will be repertoire presentations (19:30 pm) and the grand closing will take place with a samba show by Juliana D Passos and Banda, at 20 pm.
