O Museum of Image and Sound, located at the Integrated Culture Center (CIC), will host the exhibition “Verdejante”, which opens this Thursday (29) at 19 pm. The opening will also mark the launch of the Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul International Film Festival - FAM 2024 program. With free admission, the exhibition will remain open to the public until September 26, from 9 am to 21 pm, offering an immersion into the life and work of Antonio Celso dos Santos, creator of FAM and a fundamental figure in Latin American cinema.
“Verdejante” pays tribute to Antonio Celso, who passed away in 2023, and celebrates his legacy as a filmmaker, philosopher and director of FAM, an event that put Florianópolis on the international cinema map. Using multimedia resources, the exhibition revisits his trajectory through photographs, audios, objects and films that marked his more than 30 years of dedication to the audiovisual industry. In addition, the festival will open with the screening of Celso’s film “Ritinha”, reinforcing the connection and affection that he cultivated throughout his journey, as highlighted by his daughter, Marilha Naccari.
