Artist of the Generation 2000, one of the most important in Santa Catarina, Sergio Adriano H, who lives and works between Joinville (SC) and São Paulo (SP), enjoys the results of intense work in his 20-year career. He closes 2021 with the project “Word taken” with which she won the 2019 Elisabete Anderle Edict of Culture – Arts. The journey begins on the 9th, on the sidewalk of Badesc Cultural Foundation, where the artist exhibits between 10 am and 15 pm. São José is the third city contemplated, on Thursday, the 11th, in the square Hercilio Luz, also between 10 and 15 hours.
The exhibition “Palavra Tomada” asserts itself in a context of resistance. The project is based on startling data from the current Brazilian reality, with the increase in death and violence rates against black/brown women and young people. As few in the Brazilian art scene, Sérgio Adriano assumes a political role to denounce Eurocentric, colonized and racist practices.
