The exposure Art Journal takes to the entrance hall of the Santa Catarina Public Library the works developed by students of the Art Journal Workshop, taught by professor Vânia Franz, from the Santa Catarina Foundation for Special Education (FCEE) between September and October 2024 at the BPSC Maker Space. The opening will be on October 31st, at 15 pm, with free visits until November 14th, from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 19 pm.
The project deals with artistic production in the Art Journal format, with various techniques in which the students illustrate stories from books they have read, thoughts, poems and verses by some authors. Everything refers to written, literary language, but illustrated in an unusual way. In addition, there is the issue of reusing books and diaries that would otherwise be discarded, which makes the proposal self-sustainable. The partnership between BPSC and FCEE resulted in these works that are intended to allude to the Library's anniversary, since the theme deals with literature in general.
