'Standartes em Contratempos' exhibition about Florianópolis Carnival

The exposure "Banners in Setbacks", which offers an immersion in the aesthetics, culture, symbols, rites and processes of the carnival of the Samba Schools of Greater Florianópolis, has been extended until October 5th. The exhibition, which has free entry, can be visited from Tuesday to Friday on Fridays, from 10am to 17:30pm, and on Saturdays, from 10am to 13:30pm, at the Santa Catarina Historical Museum, located at Palácio Cruz e Sousa, in the center of Florianópolis.

On September 28th, the exhibition catalog will be launched. The proposed visual scenography creates its plot with stories, photographs, paintings, documents, objects, fantasies and allegories, occupying the entire ground floor of the museum, located in Palácio Cruz e Sousa, next to Praça XV, where the history of the Florianópolis carnival was born. .

Designed and curated by Eneléo Alcides, the exhibition is the result of research work, workshops and dialogues with professionals from Samba Schools, in addition to photographic records taken by Adriana Fuchter, Cida Laus, Emanuela Valgas, Eneléo Alcides, Helane Schondermark, Marco Sardi , Patrícia Amante and Roberto Alvarenga. It also counts on the collaboration of Alzemi Machado, Fabrício Peixoto, Graça Carneiro, Marcelo Machado and Rosângela Cherem, and the theoretical advice and co-production of Fernando Albalustro. The exhibition has the support of Escola Câmera Criativa, the League of Sambas Schools of Florianópolis and all schools.

The exhibition was selected by the Lei Paulo Gustavo LPG SC 2023 Public Notice, executed with resources from the Federal Government and the Paulo Gustavo Cultural Emergency Law, through the Fundação Catarinense de Cultura.
