Held at the Instituto Collaço Paulo, the "Ethereal Exhibition" brings together around one hundred works, including artistic works and artifacts that approach the sacred. The works are located between the 14th and 21st centuries and encompass different materials and languages – bronze, ceramics, wood, painting, sculpture, among others. A careful perception by the spectator will trigger relationships between rites, myths and religious symbols, a way in which religious traditions have adopted to communicate with the faithful. Between time immemorial, the ancient and the present, with “their heterogeneous approaches”, as curator Francine Goudel says, the exhibition proposes connections between material and spiritual aspects of different generations, helping, perhaps, to know and understand the world and the existence from a new perspective.
The initiative has the support of the Industrial Social Service (Sesi), the cultural support of Corporate Park, Ibagy and Paradigma Cine Arte, and the sponsorship of the City of Florianópolis through the Municipal Culture Incentive Law (donation modality), Fundação Cultural of Florianópolis Franklin Cascaes.
