Exhibition 'Windows of the Soul: A photographic journey through the Human Iris'

! - This event/schedule has already happened - !

An unprecedented exhibition in the country, it is now in Florianópolis and available to the public at Floripa Shopping. With free entry, the Exhibition “Windows of the Soul: A Photographic Journey through the Human Iris” brings an unprecedented form of photography, where the author captures the image of the iris, a circular structure that gives color to human eyes. The exhibition is on Floor L2 of Floripa Shopping, next to Cinemark, and is open to the public during the mall's opening hours.

It is the iris that controls the amount of light that enters our eyes. It is what allows more light to enter the eye, enlarging or dilating the pupil, when the environment is dark. Or it allows less light to enter, reducing or contracting the pupil, when the environment has a lot of light. And it was out of curiosity, to see this mechanism of the human body more closely, that photographer Gustavo Almeida decided to create the technique.

About the exhibition:

A unique exhibition that celebrates the beauty and uniqueness of the eyes. Organized by photographer Gustavo Almeida, this exhibition presents a series of stunning photographs that highlight the human iris in all its diversity and complexity. Gustavo specializes in photographing the iris, using advanced macro photography techniques to capture every tiny detail with precision and clarity.

With more than 10 works on display, each image captures the individuality and expressiveness of the eyes, from shades of deep blue to shades of golden brown.

“The eyes are truly the windows to the soul, and this exhibition seeks to capture the unique essence of each person through their eyes”, says Gustavo Almeida. “Each iris tells a story, and I am thrilled to share these stories with the public”, highlights the photographer.
