The Oficinas Space, at the Integrated Culture Center (CIC), will host the exhibition "Lírico Mitógrafo" (Lyric Mythographer), featuring works by Idésio Leal, starting on May 13th, at 19:30 pm. The exhibition will be free of charge and open until June 10th, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 21 pm.
The exhibition presents nine works by Idésio Leal and the respective recordings made by his friend and admirer, fellow artist Rodrigo de Haro (1939 - 2021), who recorded his impressions of the works in 2013. Rodrigo de Haro was a connoisseur and admirer of the artistic creation of Idésio Leal, his partner in the production of countless mosaics and paintings. With an affectionate gaze, he studied the pictorial achievements of this friend and analyzed them with acuity.
These are acrylic paintings, seven on canvas and two on polyethylene, accompanied by Rodrigo de Haro's handwritten observations, with the exception of the ninth painting, the text of which was found in a publication. Some of the works analyzed by Rodrigo de Haro are part of Idésio Leal's collection. However, since it was impossible to gather the original set, since others belonged to collectors, the painter remade five of the paintings, conceiving new works or interfering with the existing ones, which ended up resulting in an inverse exercise, in which Rodrigo de Haro's writings became a reference and guided the recreation of some paintings.
