about the artist

Tânia Paupitz is from Florianópolis, lives in Jardim Santa Mônica, in Florianópolis, where she maintains her studio “Tânia Paupitz Arts Warehouse”. Since 1991, the artist has taught painting courses, teaching the Spatulado technique to adults, teenagers and seniors, in addition to holding exhibitions in different locations.

His first contact with Art came through his mother Dóris, a porcelain art teacher, and his brother Sergio Paupitz, an excellent impressionist painter. In 1986, through a teacher, she began her artistic career by painting her first work – the old “Jornal O Estado”, located in the center of Florianópolis.

His trademark is vibrant colors, influenced by studies by renowned artists such as: Van Gogh, Pissarro and Salvador Dali, used as inspiration for the various works he has in his collection in his studio.

Tânia usually uses the Spatulado technique, which she learned, looking through several teachers who gave her courses and workshops in the cities of São Paulo, Curitiba and Santa Catarina, throughout her artistic career, aiming to improve her techniques. His Academic style painting highlights marinas, landscapes, Azorean houses in Florianópolis, florals, abstracts, intuitive art, European landscapes, among others.

His preference for portraying Parisian landscapes is in line with his trips to Europe. After each trip, the artist, by rereading a photo taken, tries to reproduce her works, giving her special touch.

With more than 300 exhibitions, his works are spread across countries such as Brazil, USA, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, among others.
