Presenting works that combine the visual and museological quality of fine art prints, with art and technique on long-lasting supports, are the objectives of the 9th edition of the Feira Arte Foto, which will open on Thursday, August 22nd, at starting at 18:30 pm, at Helena Fretta Galeria de Arte, in Florianópolis.
Promoted by the Center for Studies in Photography and Art – NEFA, which is celebrating 10 years of operation in Santa Catarina, in partnership with Helena Fretta Galeria de Arte, the event is curated by Lucila Horn.
According to the curator, works by 6 artists who live in Santa Catarina and develop authorial research with photography will be presented until September 33th, as well as a work by renowned São Paulo photographer Boris Kossoy.
“Consolidated in the cultural calendar of Santa Catarina, the Feira Foto Arte, in its 9th edition, presents part of the photographic production of artists participating in NEFA and artists/photographers represented by Helena Fretta Galeria de Arte, with the aim of stimulating collecting and provide dialogue between artists and visitors”, highlights Lucila.
Photo Art Fair
Photography as an authorial process is the objective of NEFA, so much so that this can be seen in the different supports that dialogue with the concepts of each work presented. They are objects, photo collages, photographs in interface with painting, socially and politically engaged proposals, documentary photography and contemplative and/or reflective images.
This edition brings together young photography artists and experienced photographers who present the quality of contemporary photography developed in Santa Catarina. Meet the artists participating in the 9th Art Photo Fair: Adriana Füchter, Amanda Loch, Annete Owatari, Beatriz Harger, Betinha Trevisan, Catarina Rüdiger, Beto Castro, Boris Kossoy, Daniel Machado, Diorgenes Pandini, Dirce Korbes, Eduardo Beltrame, Glauria Penalber, Guilherme Pedroso, Heloisa Oliveira, Joel Pacheco, Joyce Mussi, Julia Perosa, Klaus Schlickmann, Lais Mazzucco, Laura Biasi, Lucas Flygare, Lucila Horn, Lui le Blanc, Luis Paganelli, Marau, Maria Luisa Coura, Maria Luiza Amorim, Paloma Gomide, Ricardo Faion, Sergio Manara, Sidney Kair, Vania Oliveira and Zeila Sardá.
Helena Fretta Galeria de Arte is located at Rua Presidente Coutinho, 532, in the Center of Florianópolis/SC, and the exhibition can be visited free of charge from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 18pm and on Saturdays, from 10am to 13pm, until September 6th 2024.
