The artist Ilca Barcellos takes you to the Workshops Space Integrated Culture Center (CIC)), the exhibition "[Inter]tensions". The opening will be on April 12th, at 19pm, and the exhibition, with free entry, will remain open until May 10th.
In "[Inter]tensions", Ilca addresses the constant tension between object and representation, surface and spatiality. The artist creates dreamlike landscapes and explores both the poetics of emergence and fading.
"The tensions between the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional accompany the history of art and the practice of visual arts. Contrary to the mainstream, Ilca Barcellos began her artistic career with sculpture and, only later,
"to begin poetic exploration in drawing and painting. The confrontation between dimensions, however, was circumscribed since his first works", comments Gisela Barcellos de Souza, professor at the School of Architecture of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), who wrote the presentation text for the exhibition.
