O Museum of Image and Sound of Santa Catarina (MIS/SC) will host the exhibition "Every moment of finding is a moment of losing oneself", by the artist Ruchita, curated by Kamilla Nunes. The exhibition will remain open to the public until February 2, 2025, with visiting hours from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 21 pm.
Inspired by the emblematic phrase from the book "A paixão segundo GH" by Clarice Lispector, the exhibition invites the public to an immersive experience that moves between introspection and the collective. Just like GH, Clarice's protagonist, who is overcome by a profound lack of understanding of life, Ruchita leads us through a flow of senses that reverberates between viscerality and poetry, questioning the nature of the human, of time and of the divine.
The exhibition brings together works produced between 2018 and 2024, which explore diverse languages such as video art, installation, photography and performance. In each work, the artist interweaves times, spaces and materialities, creating voids that paradoxically reveal themselves to be full of meaning. The issues addressed – memory, forgetfulness, fragility and resonance – dialogue with the philosophical concerns present in Clarice's spiraling and sensorial narrative.
