Anyone who passes by Shopping Itaguaçu, on the 1st and 2nd of June, cannot miss the delights and news of the Artisan Collective, a fair promoted to give visibility and exhibit various products made by artisans from Greater Florianópolis, with art, decoration, fashion, accessories, gastronomy and more. The event takes place at Floor L2, in front of the Taco store, Saturday from 10 am to 22 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 20 pm.
The project was created to encourage local production, the creative economy and sustainability, in addition to offering differentiated and quality products to the public. For Rafael Oliveira, Marketing Coordinator at Shopping Itaguaçu, manual work is a form of expression, creativity and learning, and “by doing something with your hands, the person develops psychomotor, cognitive and emotional skills, such as coordination, concentration, patience, self-esteem and relaxation. Furthermore, manual work allows people to connect with nature, culture and their own essence. The Coletivo Artesanal team believes that this work is an art, therapy and a source of income. Therefore, they promote fairs and events that bring together producers and consumers, creating a network of support, exchange and appreciation of artisanal work. More than a project, it is a movement that celebrates the beauty, culture and importance of manual work”, he concludes.
