Itaguaçu Vinyl Fair

Music lovers and curious people will be able to search, buy and exchange new and used vinyl records at Vinyl Fair, which takes place on the 24th and 25th of August, at Shopping Itaguaçu. More than 5 thousand titles of all genres will be offered, with emphasis on collections and rarities of Pop, Rock, Blues, Jazz and MPB, among others. For collectors, there is news with an exhibition of carts, stamps and the like.

The vinyl market is dynamic, there are old and classic LPs, as well as recent collections with limited runs. Some collectors also look for first pressing records, that is, the release edition of the album and which, in some cases, are considered rare works.

Vinyls, which marked an era until the 1990s, have regained the hearts of music lovers in recent times. According to Luminate, a company dedicated to insights and data for the entertainment industry, 2023 was the year in which vinyl records sold the most units since 1987 compared to CDs. Revenue in the United States more than doubled with the sale of more 43 million units of the famous “bolachões”, and in Brazil, it had revenues of around R$11 million.
