Originally from Florianópolis and currently living in Porto Alegre (RS), the poet and psychoanalyst barbi agate, will launch the book “Write to me” on Thursday (21). With free admission, the event will be at Badesc Cultural FoundationA psychologist who graduated from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and is a full member of the Sigmund Freud Psychoanalytic Association, she has been writing since she was nine years old and developed most of her poetic work between 2010 and 2020.
A finalist for the 2025 SESC Literature Prize in the poetry category, "Write to Me" was published by Editora Patuá and launched in February 2026 in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. The 68-page work brings together poems divided into five chapters and a watercolor painting made by the author herself.
At the launch in Florianópolis, in addition to the autograph session, there will be a roundtable discussion with two guests: Ana Lúcia Mandelli de Marsillac, psychoanalyst, professor at UFSC and researcher in the areas of art, clinical practice and politics, and Pedro Heliodoro Tavares, psychoanalyst, PhD in Psychoanalysis and Literature, coordinator of the edition and translation of "Freud's Incomplete Works" by Editora Autêntica.
