On the first Saturday after International Women's Day, Shopping Itaguaçu invites Krav-Maga teachers from the Bukan school, Lucas Pompeu and Daniel da Silva, representatives from AMUCC - Association of Santa Catarina Women with Cancer - as well as massage therapist Tiago Coelho , to offer a special day to women. The event takes place on March 9th with self-defense classes, an informative chat about breast cancer, massage and music therapy sessions, self-makeup classes, physical activities, a stand up comedy show and other activities.
The actions with AMUCC will also extend to the 16th and 23rd of March. The association emerged in 2000, out of concern from a group of women who, for the most part, had been diagnosed with breast cancer, along with other patients in the same situation. The entity develops educational projects in the area of cancer prevention and early detection in partnership with other organizations, and promotes campaigns and lectures for patients and health professionals and related areas.
The Bukan School of Krav-Maga was founded in 1977, in the city of Rehovot, Israel. The school currently operates in 14 countries spread across five continents, with thousands of students in more than 110 cities. Massage therapist Tiago Coelho has been a nursing technician for 5 years and has always loved caring for and improving people's well-being. He specializes in quick massage and has participated in racing events, beauty salons, sports arenas, conferences and other events.
For Rafael Oliveira, Marketing Coordinator at Shopping Itaguaçu, it will be a memorable day, “we want to provide women with the necessary tools to feel safe and confident in any situation, an opportunity for relaxation and care for their well-being, in addition to providing knowledge about this such a sensitive topic, which is breast cancer,” he reports.
