
On Friday, May 29th, Cineclube da Badesc Cultural Foundation, in partnership with the Center for Studies and Research on Violence (Nuvic/UFSC), promotes an online chat for the Gender and Alterities Session. The live starts at 19 pm on the channel of Foundation's YouTube.
Professors Jane Felipe (FAED / UFRGS) and Gisely Botega (Psychology / Unisul) participate in the live and will comment on the police drama police, by French director Maïwenn. The film won the Jury Prize at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and is part of the film catalog available at the Varilux Festival de Cinema Frances em Casa.
The online meeting will be mediated by the filmmaker and curator of the Fundação Cineclube, Vanessa Sandre. And whoever is watching will be able to interact with comments in the channel's chat.
Synopsis of the film: daily, a specialized group of French police has to deal with tough crimes involving children. The routine involves arresting pedophiles, interrogating abusive parents and confronting juvenile offenders.
