The exhibition "Nós, Mulheres", by artist Miryam Pchara, will be open to the public until this Sunday, October 19, in the Lindolf Bell 1 Room of the Integrated Culture Center (CIC).
The exhibition celebrates feminine strength and freedom, with 48 watercolors on paper and six bronze sculptures, all from the artist's personal collection.
It takes place for the first time in Florianópolis and will be open from 10:21 to XNUMX:XNUMX with free admission.
Running since September 23, the exhibition addresses women in a free state and their importance in contemporary society and for future generations.
Her works have shown that femininity and the body are more than just aesthetic inspiration, but also spaces of resistance and transformation.
about the artist
Miryam Pchara began her artistic career in the 1950s, exploring drawing, watercolor, sculpture and photography.
The 91-year-old artist has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, such as at the Rio Grande do Sul Art Museum (MARGS) and the São Paulo International Biennial.
She was also awarded the Gold Medal Prize – Paraná Salon of Fine Arts, Curitiba (1960) and the Honorable Mention Prize – National Salon of Fine Arts, Rio de Janeiro (1962).
