The Santa Catarina Art Museum (MASC), located in the Integrated Culture Center (CIC), in the Agronômica neighborhood, is offering a guided tour of the exhibition "Sou Catarina", mediated by Luciane Garcez and Paula Gargioni, this Tuesday (28), at 13:30 pm.
Participation is free and no prior appointment is necessary.
The free exhibition, which remains open until February 25, 2025, tells the story of Catherine of Alexandria, an Egyptian princess, recognized for her beauty, intelligence and courage, who gives her name to the State of Santa Catarina.
Under the direction of Ana Paula Weschenfelder, the exhibition is a set of new pieces created by guest artists, works from the MASC collection, poems, books, sacred objects and music.
Visitors will have the opportunity to travel through Catarina's world and learn about the story of a young woman who was capable of dying for her principles and her faith. Open to all audiences, it is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 21 pm.
