In response to the recent devastating floods that ravaged Rio Grande do Sul, a special collaboration between activists and animal rescuers, led by Instituto Luisa Mell, brings hope to dogs affected by the tragedy. On May 25th, a Rescued Dog Adoption Fair will be held, where around 40 dogs, many of which were found in precarious conditions, mainly from the city of Canoas, will have the chance to find a loving and safe home. These dogs, deeply psychologically affected and traumatized by the floods, will now have the opportunity to start a new life alongside dedicated families.
The Adoption Fair promises a lot of excitement, where those interested in adopting one of these dogs will be able to meet them in person, learn about their survival stories and, most importantly, offer them a safe and loving home for life. A team will be providing information on the care needed to help these dogs, who were mostly from shelters, recover physically and emotionally. Furthermore, if a guardian identifies your animal, it will be sent to its former family promptly.
