After the release of “Poço Certo”, in 2020, which brought the coastal landscape on the horizon, author Fernando Boppré returns to the devastated land, this time, in the upper and inland parts of the Uruguay River, incorporating the element of river waters and hot springs, and launches “Termas da Desolação”. The launch event will be on Saturday, July 13th, starting at 10am, at Helena Fretta Galeria de Arte, in Florianópolis.
Published by Editora Humana, the 80-page volume brings together 31 poems written from the disenchanted experience of existence. The author explains that just like in “Poço Certo”, the book is divided into three parts: Allegories of Death, written during the acute period of the pandemic, Indisposta, which brings passages from the author's experience as a curator of visual arts, and Convalescence together to the waters.
Included in the Public Notice for the Promotion and Circulation of Artistic Languages of Chapecó 010/2023 – Public Notice for Languages: 2023 Edition, the first printing of the book will have a reduced cost of R$35 and can be purchased during the meeting.
At the launch, the author will perform a contextualized reading, talking to the public using images and poems about the structure and history of the book. The Helena Fretta Art Gallery is located at Rua Presidente Coutinho, 532, in the center of Florianópolis.
