Following the success of the last edition, the scenic-musical show "The Pain Within Us," created and starring Negra Si, returns for another edition, addressing themes such as violence against women, racism, femicide, and female resistance through poetry, music, and performance.
It occurs in July 10 at 20 noon, at the Ubro Theater, in Florianópolis, with free admission. The age rating is 16+. Tickets can be obtained via Sympla.
Throughout the hour-long performance, Negra Si leads a narrative built from personal experiences and stories shared by other women. The work proposes a reflection on survival, affection, and transformation, turning experiences of pain into artistic expression and dialogue with the audience.
"The Pain Within Us" premiered in 2024 and returns to the stage through the Cultural Incentive Program (PIC) of the Government of the State of Santa Catarina, approved by the Santa Catarina Cultural Foundation (FCC), with support from Fort Atacadista.
The initiative was also supported by the Paulo Gustavo Law, approved by the Rouanet Law, and selected by the UDESC Call for Proposals – Black and Indigenous Diversities.
