The period of rest from school activities paves the way for the search for pleasurable, playful and fun activities. To help with this differentiated agenda, the Instituto Collaço Paulo – Centro de Arte e Educação offers the program “Holidays with Art”, which will be held on July 18, 19 and 20, between 14 pm and 16:30 pm, aimed at children aged seven to 12 years old. Each day a different proposal, which provides three educational proposals around the “Etérea” exhibition on display. The idea is to have fun and learn.
The program will be led by art educator Marcello Carpes who will develop three distinct proposals in which interested parties can enroll in one or all of the actions that, in a fun way, explore some works present in the exhibition and carry out experimental practices in art.
“Vitral: Experience with Light”, scheduled for July 18th, proposes a reflection on light and the construction of stained glass windows using paper. On the 19th, in the “Entre Olhares” proposal, the art educator makes an invitation, in a playful way, to discover the works through the eyes painted by the artists, in which the participant will have to exercise careful observation of the details.
On the last day, July 20th, “Artistic Exploration: from the Path to Creation” takes place, which starts from a conversation around the oratory of Xavier das Conchas, nickname of Francisco dos Santos Xavier (1739-1814), considered a pioneer of three-dimensional art in the State. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he has lived in the former Desterro for around 30 years. Made of shells, stone, soap, gold and silver, in the 18th century, the work “São João Batista e o Cordeiro” is a rarity and its arrival in Santa Catarina represents an unprecedented achievement. In this activity, participants will be invited to take a walk in the square in front of the institute, where they will collect materials from nature as a way of thinking about their own image creation.
To participate, you must fill out the pre-registration form, available on the website www.institutocollacopaulo.com.br/educativo, and you can choose one or all educational activities. Those interested may or may not have prior knowledge, it is an invitation to experiment and play. Spaces are limited and the presence of a responsible person is mandatory. All materials for the practices will be made available by Instituto Collaço Paulo.
