The short film "I wait for you at the end of time", directed by Julia K. Rojas, will have a free premiere on Gilberto Gerlach Cinema Hall, No. Integrated Cultural Center (CIC), on June 13th at 19pm. Admission is free with tickets distributed one hour in advance at the venue.

The result of voluntary and collaborative realization between students of the UFSC film course and led by director Julia K. Rojas, the project was independently mentored by producer Ana Paula Mendes and participated in the first editing consultancy edition “EmCurta”, carried out by Sobretudo Production with the support of Spcine and consulting by Angelo Defanti and Janaína Oliveira. About the making, Julia points out that the film is "an artisanal short film, manufactured by several friendly hands, and that took a long time to build. It was made independently, a manifestation of true guerrilla cinema. The film started from a friendship: through confidences and sharing, Igara, the protagonist, and I built a complicity, essential to define the direction of how the short film would be. rural to urban, the history of formation of Florianópolis, with genre cinema and cinematographic language experiments. The result is, above all, affectionate, and reveals several unanswered questions about the nature of the human being."

The debut exhibition has the support of the Museum of Image and Sound of Santa Catarina, Fundação Catarinense de Cultura and Government of the State of Santa Catarina. 

Synopsis: Igara Pereira dos Santos is the only one of the oldest residents of the Trindade neighborhood, on the Island of Santa Catarina, who still resides in the area. After 79 years of life, Igara is tired of living on planet Earth.
