Summer in Florianópolis continues to heat up with free cultural events that enliven the city's public spaces. This Saturday, January 10th, Largo José Daux will host a special edition that brings together popular culture, live music, a creative fair, and activities aimed at children, solidifying the location as one of the main meeting points of the season.

Activities begin at 16 PM with the Arte Viva Fair, which brings a curated selection of premium handicrafts, original products, and creative creations to the Largo, highlighting manual labor and the local creative economy. The space comes alive with colors, textures, and offerings that engage with residents and tourists in the area.

Starting at 19 PM, the cultural program takes center stage with a performance of the traditional Boi de Mamão, an expression of Azorean culture that spans generations and continues to enchant audiences of all ages. Following this, live jazz music creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the beginning of a summer evening in a welcoming, open-air setting. The event will also feature free popcorn and cotton candy.

This special edition is part of the summer events agenda at Largo José Daux, an initiative that seeks to encourage the meaningful use of public space, promote culture and leisure, and strengthen commerce and community life in Canasvieiras. The proposal is clear: to offer accessible, free, and high-quality experiences, inviting the population to experience the city in a more intimate and participatory way.

Schedule subject to weather conditions. Changes or cancellations may occur in case of rain.
