This Thursday, February 19th, at 19 PM, another event will take place as part of the "Archipelagos: Liquid Memories" exhibition program at MASC (Santa Catarina Art Museum).
"The 'Third Meeting: On Contemporary Painting in the Southern Axis' features the participation of artist Clóvis Martins Costa, who discusses his artistic process and the relationships of contemporary painting in the Southern Axis."
The curatorial team, together with the artist, will launch the exhibition's digital catalog, which includes critical texts and presents the curatorial processes of the show.
About the exhibition:
The exhibition is open until February 22nd at MASC, with over 100 works distributed across four curatorial themes: waters and riverbanks, disasters, architecture and forests, and traces.
It comprises works from the MASC collection, works by the artist Paulo Gaiad (1953–2016), and excerpts from the production of the Rio Grande do Sul artist Clóvis Martins Costa (1974).
The exhibition proposes a discussion about the different ways in which landscape is incorporated into contemporary art, in dialogue with the coastal territory of southern Brazil.
