The Santa Catarina Symphony Orchestra School (Ossca) is offering free registration for oboe and bassoon lessons for students aged 10 to 18 from the public school system in the Greater Florianópolis area. Registration is open until April 01st on the institution's website, located below via the blue button.

To participate, students do not need to own an instrument, as the project will provide one. Both the oboe and the bassoon are double-reed instruments made of wood, essential in orchestras.

The meetings take place at the institution's headquarters, on Rua Trajano, in the center of Florianópolis, following the curriculum of the Symphonic School, which includes ensemble practice. A minimum attendance of 75% is required, as well as care for the institutional material.

There are only 10 places available for each of the two instruments, for students to begin or deepen their knowledge. The "Lesson with the Symphony" program facilitates the democratization of access to musical culture and encourages the training of young people, with classes taught by musicians from the orchestra.

It is a project of the Ministry of Culture (Minc) and the National Arts Foundation (Funarte).
