The month of April is marked by the fight to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), with the theme Blue April, established by the United Nations (UN). The objective of the month related to the theme is to raise awareness about autism, involve the community, bring visibility and seek a more inclusive society. To promote debate on the subject, Continente Shopping is promoting this Saturday, April 06th, a special morning with informative talks and fun activities for children with ASD. The action, carried out in partnership with the Association of Friends of Autistic People (AMA), is free and open to the public through prior registration via the Sympla platform.
The event will start at 09 am and will feature psychologist Fernanda Segatto, who will talk about behavior and speech therapist Olívia Ricardo, who will address aspects of communication from the perspective of ASD. Occupational therapist Josenia Bravo will propose different aspects of the autistic child's day-to-day activities and at the end, the little ones present will be able to enjoy a series of fun activities in the mall's operations: Wow Park, Fundo do Mar and Jogaderia.
