Florianópolis receives, from 13 the 15 November, the first edition of Bridge of Words – Literary Meeting of FlorianópolisWith free admission, the event will bring together writers, illustrators, artists, and researchers in activities at Casa Hurbana, Palácio Cruz e Sousa – Museu Histórico de Santa Catarina, and Casa da Literatura Catarinense.
Among the confirmed guests are Itamar Vieira Junior, José Eduardo Agualusa, Bel Santos Mayer, Guilherme Karsten, Michael França, Antonio Prata, Julian Fuks and Cristovão TezzaThe program will have five themes: literature, city and society, reader development, literature for children, and artistic languages.
Production from Santa Catarina will also be represented by names such as Carlos Henrique Schroeder, Godofredo de Oliveira Neto, Maicon Tenfen, Guilherme Karsten and Walmor CorrêaThe programming dedicated to children will feature writers and illustrators such as André Neves, Blandina Franco, José Carlos Lollo, and Madú Costa.
The meeting will also promote discussions on cities, childhood, mobility, education, and public spaces, with the participation of researchers such as Gil Peñalosa, Ian Goldin, Tim Gill and Rute Nieto Ferreira.
The first edition will honor the writer and sociologist. Lélia Pereira da Silva Nunes, president of the Santa Catarina Academy of Letters. The complete program, with times and activities, will be released later.
