
Among the attractions of the Honey Fair is the gastronomy workshop by Santa Catarina native Edu Bacon, participant of MasterChef Brasil 2023. Free of charge, it takes place on June 06, from 15 pm to 17 pm, at Café Bar Largo da Alfândega, in downtown Florianópolis.
Registrations take place nJune 04th, starting at 08am, at the organization's stand. The workshop shows the versatility of Santa Catarina honey and how it can transform dishes into true gastronomic experiences. It is open to 30 people.

Honey tasting
Still with Edu Bacon, there will be a tasting of the wide variety of honeys from Santa Catarina on Saturday, June 07th, from 10 am to 14 pm, also in the café, and is open to the public.
In this immersive experience, the public will learn about the complexity of honey production, discussing topics such as the sustainability of beekeeping and meliponiculture.
In addition, they will learn about the importance of bees in the ecosystem and the production practices that maintain the quality and purity of honey.
Additionally, Bacon will share insights into how harvesting and processing methods affect the flavor profile of honey.
It will also show how these products can be best used both in cooking and in other aspects of well-being and health.

Honey on the menu
Bacon also created two special honey-based dishes that will be on the menu at Café Bar da Alfândega during the fair.
They are: the sole cake with fermented pollen emulsion and stingless bee honey and the Wedding Cake with Bracatinga honeydew honey.
Honey Fair
The fair takes place between June 04th and 07th, at Largo da Alfândega, in the center of Florianópolis. More than 55 brands of honey will be distributed in 35 stands, with more than 300 producers represented.
Opening hours are from Wednesday to Friday, 08:19 to XNUMX:XNUMX, and in Saturday, 08h at 16h. The input is Free. Delivery is estimated within XNUMX hours from taking charge of the order by the courier.
Among the products sold are honey, propolis, cookies, cosmetics and much more.
