Rock 50's, 60's and 70's at Chopp do Gus – Saturday

The Imperishables they play older rock than most bands. They mainly address the period around the 50's and early 60's. They try to focus on classics that are usually left aside by other bands. They play songs by artists such as Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jovem Guarda and Little Richard. Moreover, when they flee from that era, it is for good reasons, like Secos & Molhados, The Who, Rita Lee and others. To do justice to this style, they play with vintage costumes: suits, dress shirts, hats, berets and especially suspenders.

Located in Córrego Grande, close to the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Chopp do Gus stands out for its cozy, tavern-style atmosphere and its exclusive decor, made up of paintings, caricatures, records and posters of rock celebrities. The place is very popular with young people, mainly because it is in a university neighborhood and contains live music, food and special cocktails in a single location. Establishing itself as a great place to eat well and enjoy a pleasant evening with the guys. On the menu, the exclusive portions with flambé dishes are successful; the alcoholic tip is the special drink of the house, the Diabo Verde, but drink it in moderation. The bar also specializes in Brahma draft beer, recognized by the Real Academia do Chopp certificate, and also has a harmonious and varied wine list.
