
The Cineclube of the Children's Film Festival has sessions every Saturday at 16 pm in the Gilberto Gerlach Cinema room, at the Integrated Cultural Center (CIC), with free admission. The initiative has the support of the Image and Sound Museum of Santa Catarina (MIS/SC) and the Catarinense Culture Foundation (FCC).
Day 20/05 - Island Short Session
A selection of films made and set in Florianópolis, with a duration of 55 minutes and showing the films:
O Mistério do Boi de Papaya (By Luiza Lins, fiction, SC, 2005, 13min)
The story is an adventure involving a group of children, football, the papaya ox from Lagoa da Conceição, which is part of regional folklore.
Tai, ó – An adventure in the Lagoon (By Mauricio Venturi, Ficção, SC, 2014, 15 min)
The story of João, a boy who runs away from home and decides to go after his grandmother, known as a witch in Costa da Lagoa, which can only be reached by boat. On the way, he meets Zé, a native boy who will be his partner and guide in this challenge. The two begin a friendship and an adventure full of discoveries in Lagoa da Conceição, stronghold of the legends of the Island of Santa Catarina.
Fishing Championship (By Luiza Lins and Marco Martins, Ficção, SC, 2009, 14min)
Inspired by the culture of the coast of Santa Catarina, with locations at Praia do Pântano do Sul and Lagoa da Conceição, “Campeonato de Pescaria” shows the reality of native children, who play in the street, fish and have fun in the midst of nature. The film narrates an adventure that takes place on the coast of Santa Catarina, when the community organizes a fishing tournament for children to have fun during the holidays.
The Disappearance of the Crown (By Chico Faganello and Marco Martins, Ficção, SC, 2013, 13 min)
The Crown, the main symbol of the feast of the Holy Spirit, disappears from the Church of Lagoa da Conceição, in Florianópolis. And now? Clara and Breno begin the investigation to try to get her back, otherwise the party might not happen. A mixture of reality and fiction, the film unites Brazilian culture and adventure.
