Registration open for the cycle of free workshops at the BADESC Cultural Foundation

The Cycle of free Workshops promoted by the BADESC Cultural Foundation is open for registration for the Introduction to Watercolor Workshop. Artists, students, designers, illustrators and enthusiasts with no or basic knowledge of the technique can register. Places are limited and the form is on the website fundacaoculturalbadesc.com.

Taught by artist Gabriela Luft, the workshop will cover topics such as watercolor materials, basic painting techniques, textures and simple-level illustrations. The meetings, lasting 6 hours, take place in the afternoon on the 23rd and 25th of July 2024. Due to high demand, a new class will be opened for the 6th and 8th of August. Registration will be available on the Foundation's website.

Within the Workshop Cycle, workshops are also scheduled: Experimental Photography Laboratory in Cyanotype, Zine Colageria, Handmade Printing Processes, Recorder, Other Modernisms: Santa Catarina in the visual arts, Between artistic practice and teaching practice: or art as experience , Contemporary Art Short Course: Ways of Seeing, and Curatorial Practices Short Course: wanderings and agitations

The BADESC Cultural Foundation is located at Rua Visconde de Ouro Preto, 216, in the center of Florianópolis. Until August 14th, it will be possible to visit, from Monday to Friday, from 13pm to 19pm, the exhibition “Exaptações, the work of Juliana Hoffmann”. Entry is free.

About Gabriela Luft

Born in Florianópolis/SC, Gabriela Luft graduated in Architecture and Urbanism and then specialized in Visual Arts. She has participated in group and solo exhibitions in Brazil, Portugal, Italy and Switzerland. In 2016, in Florence, Italy, she published the watercolor book Mia Firenze: un giro per Firenze attraverso le sensazioni.

In 2018, in Florianópolis, he published the watercolor book Floripa, sua Linda! and in 2022 she published the coloring book Os Encantos de Floripa. Currently, she coordinates Garage Atelier, in Florianópolis, a multiple space that combines art, culture and architecture.
