Serra Catarinense International Environmental Film Festival (FICASC) has an online and free edition

O Serra Catarinense International Environmental Film Festival (FICASC) reaches its 2nd edition promoting the union between art, culture and information. In the first edition, the Festival took place in person, in Serra Catarinense. Already this year, due to the current pandemic scenario, the event will be online, with free programming from 14 to 20 September. 

Until the end of the festival, around 10 titles will be released daily. The works can be watched within a period of 24 hours. To access the program, it is necessary to register in the event website (click here)

More than 60 socio-environmental films from different countries are shown by FICASC, organized in 7 non-competitive shows. They are: Contemporary Show, Show Struggles of the Peoples, Show Latin, Show Amazon, Show Spain, Show Homage and Show Childhood. 

FICASC also promotes two virtual exhibitions: “Komorebi”, by Maria Cristina Viero de Oliveira and “Sierra tones”, by Marcus Zilli. Both are also available on the festival's official website. 

The schedule also includes a series of daily lives, from September 14th to 19th. All virtual conversations involve questions that permeate the environmental cinema. The transmissions are on Festival YouTube channel, as well as on the FICASC social networks.
