Founded in 1764, the Hermitage Museum is an immense complex formed by six palaces and pavilions located along the Neva River in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Such magnitude is the result of the appreciation for the art of Empress Catherine II, considered one of the greatest patrons in history. And it will be this collection that the public will be able to get to know more closely in the unprecedented session of the project Virtual Museums, from Cultural Marathon Institute, confirmed for this Saturday (28), at 15 pm.
The Museum complex is made up of more than 300 rooms with more than 3 million objects from different cultures. And during the “visit”, the art-educator Claudio Toscan will visit collections of Italian, Dutch, Spanish art and the neoclassical sculptures of Canova.
