A Geek Nation Livestream, a free online event held between August 14th and 16th, confirmed some of the panels that will be part of the schedule. And, among the highlights, are the panels with content from the distributor Paris Movies: one as theme "Monica's Gang: Lessons”, another about “M-8 - When Death Helps Life".
For the first one, the distributor made official the holding of a chat about the film “Turma da Mônica: Lições”, which will be attended by the director Daniel Rezende, from child cast, and also Mauricio de Sousa, creator of Monica's Gang. Scheduled for Saturday (15), the panel should bring news about the recently announced film.
The second panel, with the theme of “M-8 - When Death Helps Life”, is on the same day. The chat will be about the production and will be attended by the director Jefferson De, and the actors Juan Paiva e Mariana nunes. The conversation should address the various issues addressed by the project, which has as one of the highlights the social differences caused by racial issues rooted in society.
Fundraising for Instituto Ser +
During the three days of the event, spectators will be able to contribute to the SER+ institute, an NGO focused on offering professional training and personal development for young people in situations of social vulnerability. The institution, which in 2018 was recognized as one of the Top 100 NGOs in Brazil, has, during the pandemic, directed its efforts to purchase and deliver food baskets to the families of young people who are part of the project's programs.
