
O Paradigm Cine Arte promotes the screening of the documentary 'Biocentric', and a debate after the session with the presence of the co-director of the film, Fernanda Heinz Figueiredo and professor doctor of design Diego Piovesan Medeiros, this Thursday, June 8, at 19:30 pm. The film follows the routine of nine people and their initiatives based on biomimicry. The exhibition is available until the 14th of June.
Filmed in Brazil, the United States, Japan and Costa Rica, the documentary features the narrative of American biologist and activist Janine Benyus, a pioneer in the study of biomimicry, a solution strategy inspired by natural resources, addressing projects that used biomimetics to find possible solutions according to concepts of sustainability, circular economy, ecology and health.
The documentary, directed by Fernanda Heinz Figueiredo and Ataliba Benaim, won the prize for Best Feature at the Wildlife Film Festival (Wildlife Conservation Film Festival), in Missoula, United States.
Other productions are also showing, such as 'EO', directed by Jerzy Skolimowski, in the 13:30 pm session, 'The Last Bus', by Gillies MacKinnon, in the 15:25 pm session and Uma Vida sem Ele', directed by Laurent Larivière, in the sessions at 17:30 pm and 21:40 pm.
